Vehicles in Germany's City Discovered Covered with Nazi Symbols in Human Blood, Police Report

Officers reported they were alerted by a individual who noticed a automobile in Hanau marked with red-colored fluid

Approximately fifty vehicles have been marked with what appears to be blood from a person in the German town of Hanau close to Frankfurt, as reported by police.

Cars, exterior walls and postal boxes were vandalized, sometimes with swastikas, they reported in a official communication.

Law enforcement report they were notified during the night on Wednesday evening, when a man noticed that a car in the Lamboy area of Hanau had been smeared with a red-colored liquid.

The substance had been placed in the form of a banned symbol, they reported.

Officers then located numerous other smeared automobiles and building exteriors in the adjacent neighborhood.

Nazi symbols are banned in Germany under regulations prohibiting the public display of Nazi symbols.

Police state early analysis indicate the substance was most likely human blood.

"Currently there is no indication as to its source; officials are presently not cognizant of any injuries in connection with the occurrence," they commented.

Municipal representatives stated they were attempting "to unravel the incident" and have appealed to the community for details.

A high-ranking official stated the vandalism rendered him speechless and required to be resolved rapidly.

"This act strikes at the core of Hanau and revives the trauma of the right-wing attack five years ago," he posted on a platform, mentioning the death of nine individuals by a shooter targeting individuals of foreign heritage in February 2020.
